Big Brother

In case you haven't heard, Philip is going to be a big brother this summer. We are quickly headed toward a full house of boys! Philip is very excited about being a "big brover" and is asking lots of questions about "his baby."

Just a few of his recent questions and observations:

Mommy, are you and Daddy going to Bethlehem so the baby can be born?

Are there blocks at the hospital so I can build a stable?

When my baby gets here I will teach him lots of stuff, like going to the potty and how to sit up.

Mommy, what does the baby wear when he's in your belly?

When my baby gets here, I will sleep in a sleeping bag in his room in case he cries.

Will the new baby be the Baby Jesus?

And on and on and on.

Snow Day 2010

It snowed all day today. I have lived the majority of my life here in Montgomery, and growing up I saw snow maybe once or twice. Philip has now seen snow for the 3rd winter in a row!

Here's our house "covered" in snow!

Philip was pretty excited to get outside and play.

Making and throwing snowballs were a must.

Then he started to work on a snowman.

He was very proud!

What a fun day!!

Philip's School Valentine's Party

Philip had his Valentine's Party at school on Thursday.

We had lots of fun as always!

Here is Philip's table decorated and ready for the party.

Here is his class with the puppets we made at the party.

Pants on the Ground

The latest craze that is sweeping the nation by storm is this whole 'Pants on the Ground' routine from American Idol (see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KT1wdjlbyFc). Evidently, Philip's caught the 'Pants on the Ground' fever:

Christmas 2009

Our stockings were hung by the chimney with care...

Our Christmas Tree.

Philip's gifts from Santa!

When Philip woke up Christmas morning, the first thing he said was "I didn't hear Santa or the sleigh last night." He was relieved to see that Santa did stop by our house!

He went to work unloading his stocking.

He loved his new Slinky.

After some breakfast, we started opening some presents.

Philip enjoyed opening all the gifts!

Trying on his new apron from Nana and Granddad.

Finally, after we got dressed, we took the new tractor out for a spin.

It didn't take Philip long to get the hang of the gas pedal!

Then we headed over to Meme and B's house to open some more gifts!
Philip had a great time opening ALL the gifts here too!

He loved his new megaphone - he can call the carpool just like at school!

Merry Christmas! We had a great day! As Philip said the day after Christmas, "Mommy, Why is Christmas only one day?"

Christmas Eve 2009

We made cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve.

Philip was in charge of decorating the cookies.

He was very particular about what went on each cookie.

Here is the finished product!

Here we are getting cookies and milk ready for Santa before bedtime.

Enjoying the fire one last time before bed.

We checked the Santa tracker several times that night!
