Ben's Birthday Party

We had a birthday party for Ben at our house. 

 We had some friends and our neighbors over and had the slip and slide and sprinklers out in the backyard.

 Unfortunately, it started raining soon after the party started, and we had to move inside.

 The kids seemed to still have fun playing together inside!

 We had Ben's favorite on the cake - Calliou!

 We sang Happy Birthday to Ben and he blew his candle out.

 Ben wanted a piece of Calliou's shirt, since it is yellow - his favorite color.

We had a really fun party despite the rain!

Ben's 3rd Birthday

Ben's 3rd Birthday was June 29, 2013.  We started the day with breakfast at Krispy Kreme.

Later in the afternoon we opened presents.

Ben's special request for his birthday was a lantern like Philip has.

He figured out that opening presents was pretty fun!

We had a really fun day - hard to believe Ben is 3 years old!

Swimming Lessons - Ben

 Ben took swimming lessons from Mrs. Karen this summer.

 The first week was not very successful - he was VERY scared.

 But, the second week was a different story!

 He swam through the hula hoop with a smile!

 He played with toys on the steps and went under water to get the dive sticks!

 By the end of the second week, he was jumping off the diving board with ease!

 Mrs. Karen is a wonderful teacher and both boys have enjoyed swimming with her.
