Philip and I took a trip to the McWane Center in Birmingham the Friday after his birthday.
They had this play area where the kids could dust for dinosaur bones.
We saw so many interesting things - Philip was pretty impressed with these spacesuits.
This made the kids feel like they were in a wind storm.
They also had a zip line for the kids to ride.
Philip thought it was lots of fun!
We had a really fun day together - Philip is already planning our next trip back! 
This sweet boy turned 5 today! I cannot believe it.
Philip requested breakfast in bed for his birthday.
We went out for a fun dinner tonight to celebrate.
Philip tried to catch some shrimp with his mouth.
After dinner we came home to open presents.
Philip has been asking for a SpiderMan costume for his birthday and was so excited to see it!
Ben tried to help with the presents. 
Of course, we had to try out the costume!

Ben's Birthday party was scheduled for the week we ended up in the hospital - so we moved it to this past week.

We had a few family friends over for burgers and hot dogs. The big kids played on the slip and slide while the adults grilled.

Philip went to Vacation Bible School at our church last week. The theme was "New York"
On Friday, all the parents were invited to the assembly to see everything they had learned during the week.
The kids sang, danced, and had a really fun week!
Philip had a super fun week!
Ben had his 12 month check-up with Dr. Trumbull last week. He weighs 18 pounds and 8 ounces, and is 28 3/4 inches tall. Ben is still a little low on weight after he was so sick, but he is slowly gaining and getting back to his old self!
Ben was very sick over the 4th weekend, and we ended up in the hospital with him.
Poor little baby had to get an IV and spend the night here.
We had a long day and night, and some wonderful nurses to take care of us.
The next day he seemed to feel a little better.
Big brother was very worried about Ben and came for a visit to check on him.
After another full day on the fluids, we were able to go home and sleep in our own beds. He is still not quite back to normal, but we are getting there slowly.
