Philip - 5 Year Old Stats

Philip had his 5 year old check-up last week. He weighs 39 pounds and 4 ounces and is 40 3/4 inches tall. He was so brave during the finger prick and two shots!

First Day of School - 2011

Philip's first day of school was Wednesday.

Philip and his friend Anne Rollins. They have been in the same class since they were babies.

Philip's 5th Birthday Party

We had Philip's birthday party on Sunday afternoon.

We were all very excited!

There was a bounce house, a giant slide, and an inflatible obstacle course.

Philip and I did the big slide together before the party started.

Philip did the slide many times!

After lots of sliding and bouncing, we had some pizza.

The pizza was one of Philip's special requests for the party.

Philip was a lucky boy - look at all the presents his sweet friends brought him!

A SpiderMan cake was another one of Philip's requests!

After pizza and more playing, we sang Happy Birthday to Philip!

He made a wish and blew out his #5 candle.

Visit to the McWane Center

Philip and I took a trip to the McWane Center in Birmingham the Friday after his birthday.

They had this play area where the kids could dust for dinosaur bones.

We saw so many interesting things - Philip was pretty impressed with these spacesuits.

This made the kids feel like they were in a wind storm.

They also had a zip line for the kids to ride.

Philip thought it was lots of fun!

We had a really fun day together - Philip is already planning our next trip back!

Philip is 5!

This sweet boy turned 5 today! I cannot believe it.

Philip requested breakfast in bed for his birthday.

We went out for a fun dinner tonight to celebrate.

Philip tried to catch some shrimp with his mouth.

After dinner we came home to open presents.

Philip has been asking for a SpiderMan costume for his birthday and was so excited to see it!

Ben tried to help with the presents.

Of course, we had to try out the costume!

Last, we had cupcakes that Philip and I made.
