Ben is 1!!

Today is Ben's First Birthday!

We had cupcakes tonight to celebrate.

Ben was pretty excited about this new treat!

It didn't take him long to figure out what to do with the icing.

The cake part took a little longer - but he seemed to figure that out pretty soon too!

He loved his cupcake!

Philip was also really excited about Ben's birthday. He helped make the cupcakes and has been talking about Ben's birthday for several days now.

After the cupcakes, Ben had a few presents.

This zebra was a big hit with Ben.

He also got his own toy remote control!

I can't believe it has already been a year. Seems like we were just headed to the hospital to meet this little boy. He had a great day!

Watching Cartoons

Swimming Lessons

Philip had swimming lessons last week.

He has become a pretty good little swimmer this summer.

This year, they started learning to dive.

Philip was really excited to learn something new.

Of course, his favorite part of swimming lessons is jumping off the diving board!

Philip did a really good job swimming by himself this year.

Philip was able to do lots of new things this year - we went to the waterpark and rode the Ferris Wheel. We had a lot of fun doing new "grown-up" stuff with him.

We had so much fun at the beach and wish we were still there!

Ben probably ate more sand than he played with.

Philip was serious about building some sand castles this year.

Philip also enjoyed knocking his sand creations down.

We found a large hole that someone else made - it was alot of fun to play in.

And Philip also convinced Daddy to bury him in the sand!
